COOPERATION FOR DEVELOPMENT

Since its foundation in 1965th, Frères des Hommes has supported more than 1000 programs in 40 countries in Asia, Africa and Latin America.

In the South, supporting people who are building their future

Nutrition, self-sufficiency, getting a work worthy of the human condition , get out of poverty and dependence.
Frères des Hommes intervenes also in the sphere of basic rights of the persons and the peoples.
They are the same people who conceive and realize the activities promoted by the association.
Frères des Hommes works in partnership (relation between two or more organisations, with common objectives and development view) with social organisations, in connection with local people, to strengthen the social actors, who are the real promoters of development and democracy.
Development is a very complex process with wide ranging implications. Frères des Hommes inscribes its partnership relations in the future, in agreement with the character of continuity of the development process and projects jointly defined.
These relations are concretized in reciprocal collaboration and solidarity through technical, methodological and financial supports.

In the South and North developing inter-exchanges of experiences

Considering the social effects of the globalisation which affect on major part of the European population, Frères des Hommes have an universal goal of solidarity and promotes inter-exchanges of experiences, analysis and knowledge between the actors of the development, who are facing similar problems.
She also try to set up connections of solidarity and reciprocal collaboration between social actors in the North and the South, fighting all sorts of exclusion.
